Bankes Avenue summer work.

As everyone at the club is aware, the work at Bankes Avenue began at the end of May and we are now beginning to see the fruits of that labour. The pitches received their first long cut following the works and they are looking fantastic. They will hopefully get another shorter cut this coming weekend. The goal mouths that have had extra work done on them still need a little longer to allow the seed to fully grow, but hopefully the pitches wont be shut for too much longer.

A massive shout out to Chris, our Treasurer, for securing the funding a couple of years ago to allow this work to take place whilst not impacting on the club in a massive financial way. This work is a continuation of the good work that has already taken place over the last couple of years, with more yet to come.

We may be biased, but we think our pitches are amongst the best grass pitches in the Wigan area!!
