Under 10 Sapphires suffer semi-final heartbreak!

Our under 10's Sapphire ladies took on a strong Pennington Panthers team in their Wigan and District Youth League Semi-Final. The girls started strong and took an early lead through a Rose free kick. Pennington came back strongly though, and with half time looming, nicked an equaliser to go into the break at 1-1. The girls started the second half strongly and were relentless in their pursuit of a winning goal. Despite dominating the second half, a late wonder strike sealed a 2-1 win for Pennington Panthers. Good luck to them when they take part in the final on 10th May 2026.
